Current members of the Empire Cat Club enjoy the rights and privileges of membership, in addition to the honor of being a part of its long heritage, history, and tradition. For anyone who desires to become a member, a summary of procedures and requirements is as follows: The prospective member must be sponsored by a current member in good standing of the Club. The prospective member must attend three regular meetings of the Club. The prospective member's membership is voted upon by the regular members in attendance at the third meeting. Annual dues are $20 for individuals and $30 a year for couples and families. Privileges of membership: Right to vote in elections of officers of the Board of Directors. Right to vote on important matters the Board puts before the membership. The opportunity of serving on the Board of Directors in the future. Involvement in the decision-making process, and with the preparations, of producing the Club's annual cat show. Duties: Members are expected to participate by attending meetings as often as possible. Members, especially those exhibitig cats, are expected to take an active part in the production of the Empire Cat Club's annual show: 1. 2. 3. 4. In response to interest in the Empire Cat Club by persons who are supportive of the aims and activities of the Club, we have established another category of membership, the
Lifetime Honorary Membership.
This class of membership carries with it no voting or participation rights. However, for a one-time donation of $100, a person is designated a Lifetime Honorary Member, and will receive the minutes of all Club meetings. Members of the media, cat portrait photographers, and others have found this class of membership of value to them.
